Global Event taking over Miami: Vogue Magazine's Fashion's Night Out on Sept. 10th

Fashion lovers, grab a chair and take notes on this one: Fashion's Night Out (FNO) 2010 is coming to Miami! This global celebration is taking place on Friday, September 10th. Created by VOGUE Magazine, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company and the City of New York, here are my picks for the hottest FNO events around town:

1. Bal Harbour Shops (9700 Collins Avenue, Bal Harbour) is starting their festivities at 7 p.m. when the shops transform into an amazing block party with food, music, special-edition merchandise, personal appearances and a few surprises. More than 40 stores have partnered with a non-profit organization and will donate a percentage of the evening’s proceeds. Vogue Latinoamérica will be distributing complimentary September magazines during the night.

Chloé at Bal Harbour Shops will be hosted by Latina actress, host and producer of Telemundo’s Al Rojo Vivo Maŕia Celeste Arrarás; actress and model Paola Turbay and Miami philanthropist and socialite Kelly Gold. Guests are invited to enjoy live beats, champagne by Louis Roederer and hors d’oeuvres while perusing Chloé’s Autumn/Winter 2010 ready-to-wear collection. A portion of the evening’s proceeds will benefit Rally for Kids, a non-profit organization providing critical funds for care, treatment and research for children suffering from cancer. Trina Turk at Bal Harbour Shops will be hosted by Miami socialites Dana Shear and Vivianne Kurzweil; VH1’s Basketball Housewives Evelyn Lozada and lifestyle editor Jacquelynn Powers. Guests can indulge in cupcakes and champagne, and enter for the chance to win exclusive raffle prizes. Proceeds from the FNO shirts will be donated to NYC AIDS Fund. 2. Village of Merrick Park (358 San Lorenzo Avenue, Coral Gables) is hosting a trendy FNO Lounge featuring cool music, light bites provided by SAWA Restaurant & Lounge, informal modeling and a sneak peak of Fall 2010 trends. Bring your friends and unwind as you sip complimentary cocktails provided by Belvedere Vodka & Atlantico Rum. Patrons will be able to capture their Fashion’s Night Out experience by receiving a complimentary professional picture with any purchase of $25 or more from any retailer throughout the center. SocialMiami.com celebrates their 10 Year Anniversary at Epicure Gourmet Market & Cafe

Greetings to my sazoneros all over the world! I wanted to take a minute to thank all of my new fans on Twitter and Facebook. Hope you've been enjoying my posts and updates! As promised, here's my recap from SocialMiami's 10 year anniversary bash. On Friday, August 27th, Epicure Gourmet Market & Cafe hosted an amazing celebration in Sunny Isles. Our city's movers and shakers came out to enjoy over 1,000 desserts and plenty of delicious food (fourteen food stations to be exact)! Here were my favorite treats from the night: Lobster bisque shots, Misha's Cupcakes, Chocolate Fountain with fresh fruits, Sheer Bliss Ice Cream and of course, the complimentary wine and vodka stations. It was the perfect way to commemorate a decade of fabulous events in Miami: beautiful people (like Adam Kayce and Savenna Oek who are pictured above), great food, art by Stephen Gamson, drinks and live entertainment by J.P. Best Buddies Miami presents "Networking for Friendship" event at the W South Beach

Sazoneros: This is by far the best networking event I have come across in a looong time! Mark your calendars for Thursday, September 16th as Business Buddies Miami presents Networking for Friendship at the W South Beach. Business Buddies is designed to raise awareness and funds for Best Buddies, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities through friendships and jobs. This special event will be held from 7 p.m. till midnight. Guests will enjoy live entertainment featuring DJ Irie of the Miami HEAT, a silent auction and cocktails provided by Grey Goose. You'll be happy to know that more than 800 guests will gather at this networking event which benefits Best Buddies and their programs. Tickets cost $20 presale and $25 at the door. MySpace Music and HP are presenting a FREE concert by Big Boi at SoBe Live in Miami

Before you kick off the weekend, make sure you read this post! On Wednesday, August 18th, dress your best and head out to SoBe Live to catch hip hop artist, Big Boi, performing in Miami. The event is part of HP's Summer Music Campaign to promote better sounding music. Big Boi will take the stage to perform tracks from his recently released debut album titled Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty (Def Jam Recordings) along with Grammy-nominated OutKast classics. For the fans who don't live in Miami, MySpace Music will live-stream the 21+ show via USTREAM starting at 11 p.m. EST. The online transmission will provide you with stellar sound and picture quality. Free tickets for the event are available on a first-come, first-served basis at SoBe Live. Entry for the early event begins at 10 p.m. and the show starts at 11 p.m. (doors will close when venue reaches capacity). This Month: Viceroy Miami debuts New York City's "Wine Down" tasting party at Club 50

To my wine lovers in Miami: mark your calendars for August 25th when Viceroy Miami will debut New York City's famed "Wine Down" interactive tasting party. This event will be hosted by Michael Green, wine expert and former Wine and Spirits Consultant to Gourmet Magazine. Wine Down is known for combining themed wine selections with dramatic spaces and culinary celebrities. Guests at Club 50 (485 Brickell Avenue) will enjoy unlimited sips of eight summer wines by Boutari and signature hors d'oeuvres from the Viceroy's EOS Restaurant (co-owned by celebrity chef Michael Psilakis). Leading Ladies League hosts event to benefit the Melanie Finley Ovarian Cancer Foundation

On Wednesday, August 25th, round up your girlfriends and attend a charity cocktail party hosted by The Leading Ladies League from 6 to 9 p.m. The event will take place at the Miami Institute for Age Management & Intervention where guests will enjoy light bites, cocktails, music, artwork, mini facials and brow shaping. All of the ladies will receive exclusive cosmetic treatment promotions including 30 percent off injectables and discounts on future bookings. Five percent of the proceeds from the evening will benefit the Melanie Finley Ovarian Cancer Foundation. Melanie Finley was 27 years old when she was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. After her diagnosis, she started the Foundation to raise money for Ovarian Cancer education and direct financial assistance to young women who have also been diagnosed with this disease. Ovarian Cancer is the fifth leading cause of cancer-related deaths among U.S. women. By helping young women become aware of ovarian cancer symptoms, Finley hopes to make a difference. The Limited at Dadeland Mall hosts fashion event to debut Jodi Arnold's Fall 2010 Collection

Summer is almost over so it's time to start revamping your closets for the fall! Shopping Alert: Madonna & Lola's "Material Girl" Fall 2010 Collection debuts at Macy's in Miami

Today marks the official day when Madonna & Lourdes (Lola) launch their "Material Girl" collection throughout 200 Macy's stores across the country and on Macys.com. Get it while it's hot and in stock! During today's special shopping event at Macy's Dadeland Mall, plenty of young trendsetters got their hands on this bold new fashion brand. The juniors collection embodies Madonna's 80's style and it definitely has Lola's modern twist. The brand is designed for the fun and fearless girl who doesn't hesitate to mix different pieces together. Madonna and Lola's collection let's you create your own unique style! I saw this vision materialize at Macy's today. Young shoppers were grabbing funky tops and pairing them with ruffled skirts or laced leggings.

I loved this celebrity inspired collection because it really offers consumers an outfit for every occasion. There was a nice selection of casual shirts, floral print dresses and flirty mini skirts to choose from. Designed with affordability in mind, the "Material Girl" collection retails from $12 to $40.
